Ray and Gail explain why they wrote “The Promise of Jonadab”

One lone family amid cultural and religious collapse struggles to maintain faith in their time and future generations. This ancient clan demonstrates the successful transition of faith that remains aflame for centuries. Communicating zeal for God that any Christian father can emulate today, this biblical narrative unfolds an obscure character’s life. In a time of spiraling moral and theological decline, the book encourages Christian families not only to stand but to pass the torch of their faith securely throughout generations. What can Christian families learn from one minor Old Testament man whose godly line still continues today? The answer communicates the strong and sure message of hope in The Promise of Jonadab.

Gail and Ray Moore, married for 40 years, were pioneering parents of home schooling. Now grandparents, they continue in Christian ministry promoting Christian education and home schooling.

USC Debate: “Is America a Christian Nation? Was It Ever?”

In 2009, Ray participated in a debate on the USC campus with atheist Herb Silverman regarding the founding principles of the nation.

My goal was to defend the well-documented historical and
spiritual truths lived out by our Founding Fathers, proving that America was indeed founded as a Christian nation. Although our country has ceased to honor some of the biblical principles that informed its foundation, much of America’s Christian heritage remains. These facts cannot be debated away.

This is part 1 of 9. If you’d like to watch more, the rest of the parts will play in YouTube’s playlist. Be sure to read Ray’s memo to his friends after the debate.

ReachOutColumbia put together a handy PDF covering the debate.
